hi Ketsy i was diagnosed with cervical cancer in september of 2007. i was 46 years old. it is scary! i went in for a radical hysterectomy, but the cancer had spread to my uterus~so the dr ended up leaving everything. he removed 25 lymph nodes & found cancer in one of those. i then underwent chemo &radiation & brachytherapy! i am now coming up on 4 years since my diagnosis & am doing well! stay strong! you can do this! if you have any questions, feel free to ask me! all my best renee
Wow Renee
WTG! I'm so happy for you. I pray you always do well.
thank you, Linda! i hope you & your daughter are doing well, also! i was blessed with the best doctors & medical teams & had a great support system with my family and friends! but sometimes you just need to talk with someone who has been there and understands what each other has been through!
Absolutely .. I agree .. I lost my daughter but I am here and altho it wasnt me I understand about it. Nice to meet you.
so sorry to hear of your daughter's passing! hope you continue on the path to healing! it has been very nice meeting you on here, as well! i'll keep you in my prayers! renee
hey Ketsy just wanted to check in with you and see how things are going! i'm sure by now, things are rolling along with some form of treatment! please let me know how things are and how you're feeling! take care i'll be thinking of you!
I just got diagnosed with cervical cancer and they also found a tumor in my uterus. Getting radical hysterectomy in a few days. I don't know exactly what's going on, they are just rushing me through everything.
If you see any of my other posts you will see I'm dealing with a husband who is addicted to porn and every other woman BUT me, I'm an alcoholic, was molested as a child, went through several abusive relationships and have serious doubts about everything right now. My self esteem is completely shot to hell. And alcohol is looking better and better everyday. Now I will feel even less attractive or like a woman. Are there any support groups for people who are generally screwed in almost every aspect of life? {Haha}
Dear lost.confused
sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis! things do move really fast! the most important thing right now is to get through your surgery & on to the road to recovery! sorry to hear that you don't have much support in your life! YOU are what is important! YOU can do this! we will be here for you! once this hurdle is crossed, maybe we all can help you through your other concerns. Please hang in there!
Thinking of You,
renee in ohio
Thanks Renee! I appreciate your words of encouragement. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hi ketsy
Welcome to support groups hon. I can understand about how scared you are.
My daughter got cervical cancer at 30 years old. I myself have Lymphoma.
You have every right to be scared but you did not share much about your story like where you are in treatment, just beginning? havnt started? what stage are you? whats your onc telling you.
people will forget what you said, they will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel...God Bless
Linda
